Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026  ·  Effective: June 2026

Plain English first. This policy explains what data Fero Health collects, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We handle health data — we take that seriously. If you have questions, contact us directly.

Overview

Fero Health, Inc. ("Fero", "we", "us") operates the Fero Health mobile application and website (ferohealth.com). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share your personal and health information when you use our services.

By using Fero, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app or website.

Data we collect

We collect information you provide directly and information generated through your use of the app.

Information you provide:

  • Name and email address when you join the waitlist or create an account
  • Health and fertility data you log manually — including semen analysis results, hormone panel results, and lifestyle inputs (sleep, alcohol, stress, diet, exercise)
  • Communications you send to us (e.g. support emails)

Information collected automatically:

  • Device type, operating system, and app version
  • Usage data such as features accessed and session duration
  • Anonymised crash and error reports

Third-party integrations (optional):

  • Wearable data from Oura or Whoop, if you choose to connect them — only accessed with your explicit permission

How we use your data

We use your data only for the following purposes:

  • To provide and improve the Fero app and its features
  • To calculate your Fero Score and personalised recommendations
  • To send you product updates, early access communications, and founder updates (you can unsubscribe at any time)
  • To conduct anonymised, aggregated research to improve our scientific methodology
  • To comply with legal obligations

We do not use your health data for advertising. We do not sell your data. Ever.

Sharing your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or health data to third parties. We share data only in limited circumstances:

  • Service providers — trusted infrastructure partners (e.g. cloud hosting, analytics) who process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements
  • Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users
  • Business transfers — in the event of a merger or acquisition, you will be notified before your data is transferred or becomes subject to a different privacy policy

Any third party we work with is contractually prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.

Storage & security

Fero is HIPAA-compliant. Your health data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). We follow industry best practices for access control, monitoring, and incident response.

Your data is stored on servers located in the United States. If you are based outside the US, please be aware that your data will be transferred to and processed in the US in accordance with this policy.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You can request deletion at any time — see Your Rights below.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction — request that inaccurate data be corrected
  • Deletion — request that your data be deleted from our systems
  • Portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Opt-out — unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time via the link in any email

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

Children

Fero is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify active users by email if the changes are material. Your continued use of Fero after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
